Beschreibung

2'-Hydroxy-3,4-dimethoxychalcone is a reactive compound that has been shown to have anticancer activity. It inhibits the growth of cancer cells in vitro and induces apoptosis. The anticancer activity of 2'-hydroxy-3,4-dimethoxychalcone may be due to its ability to react with intracellular hydrogen and form c1-6 alkyl radicals that can generate DNA damage. This compound also has strong binding affinity for the region of the protein that regulates the cell cycle and apoptosis, which leads to cell death. 2'-hydroxy-3,4-dimethoxychalcone has been shown to inhibit tuberculosis by interfering with bacterial DNA synthesis and causing an accumulation of reactive oxygen species.
