Beschreibung

2'-Hydroxyflavone is a flavonoid that has been shown to have antioxidative properties. It has been shown to reduce the number of leukemia cells in vivo and to inhibit the growth of HL-60 cells in vitro. 2'-Hydroxyflavone has also been found to inhibit neutrophil exudates, which are inflammatory mediators that are released by neutrophils after they are activated by bacterial lipopolysaccharide. This compound also neutralizes reactive oxygen species (ROS) and can prevent mitochondrial membrane potential from decreasing. 2'-Hydroxyflavone may be used as an antioxidant for various conditions, including leukemia and other cancers.
