Beschreibung

7-hydroxy-4-methyl-8-nitrocoumarin is a chemical compound found in various plants. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells by interfering with the splicing process and inhibiting protein synthesis. 7-Hydroxy-4-methyl-8-nitrocoumarin binds to DNA, forming a covalent bond that prevents RNA polymerase from binding. This drug also inhibits multivariate logistic regression and has been shown to be effective against non small cell lung cancer. 7-Hydoxy-4-methyl-8-nitrocoumarin is not active against small cell lung cancer or prostate cancer, but it does have some activity against breast cancer cells.
