Beschreibung

Fty720 is a synthetic drug that binds to the mitochondria and inhibits the synthesis of ATP. It has been shown to have an anti-apoptotic effect on cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit calcium release from the endoplasmic reticulum. Fty720 also has biological effects in autoimmune diseases and cellular growth. Fty720 inhibits the synthesis of ATP by binding to mitochondrial membranes, blocking mitochondrial electron transport, and inhibiting oxidative phosphorylation. This drug also blocks Ca2+ response and cell growth factors, leading to apoptotic cell death.
