It also exhibits antioxidant activity and can protect cells from lipid peroxidation induced by reactive oxygen species. Isopropylideneglycerol has been shown to exhibit antitumour activity against ovarian cancer cells. This may be due to its ability to inhibit the activity of lipolytic enzymes in these cells.
