It has been shown to inhibit matrix metalloproteinase and chemotactic protein production in prostate cancer cells. This drug also inhibits signaling pathways that are activated by tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα), which may be useful in the treatment of cancers such as prostate cancer.
