It has been shown to inhibit the growth of leukemia cells and myeloid leukemia cells in vitro, as well as inhibiting the growth of bacteria. ITCPC binds to bromodomain, which is a protein domain found in many proteins involved in transcriptional regulation. This binding inhibits transcription and replication, leading to cell death.
