Beschreibung

2-Isopropyl-1H-benzimidazole is a water-soluble molecule that has been shown to be a potent and selective 5HT4 receptor agonist. It does not have any effects on other serotonin receptors. 2-Isopropyl-1H-benzimidazole binds to the 5HT4 receptor with high affinity and efficacy, but it does not activate the other serotonin receptors in the brain. The binding of this drug to the 5HT4 receptor leads to increased levels of extracellular acetylcholine, which may result in improved cognitive function as well as relief from depression.
