Isopropylsulfonyl chloride is an organic compound with chemical species. It is a liquid that evaporates quickly when exposed to air. Isopropylsulfonyl chloride has been shown to inhibit the growth of various types of cancer cells, including leukemia, breast cancer, and colon cancer. It is believed that this may be due to its ability to inhibit fatty acid synthesis and growth factors in cells. This chemical also inhibits inflammatory diseases such as autoimmune diseases and inflammatory bowel disease by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins. Isopropylsulfonyl chloride has also been shown to reduce the symptoms of metabolic disorders such as diabetes mellitus type 2 and obesity by increasing insulin sensitivity in adipose tissue.
