Beschreibung

Imidazo[2,1-b][1,3]thiazole-6-carboxylicacid is a cyclic molecule that has been shown to have fluorescence and cyclic properties. It is a sensor for metal ions, including copper and silver ions. This compound reacts with these ions to form covalent bonds in a stoichiometric fashion. The rate of this reaction is dependent on the concentration of the ion, which can be measured by the intensity of the fluorescent signal. Imidazo[2,1-b][1,3]thiazole-6-carboxylicacid has been used as a transducer in multitarget detection by enhancing the response of other fluorescent molecules such as pyrene and rhodamine B when they are present in low concentrations.
