Beschreibung

Isepamicin sulfate is a semi-synthetic antibiotic with a broad spectrum of activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as fungi. It is active in vitro against most strains of the following organisms: Escherichia coli, Klebsiella species, Proteus mirabilis, Enterobacter cloacae, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Serratia marcescens, Staphylococcus aureus (methicillin resistant), Bacillus anthracis (vaccine strain), Clostridium perfringens. Isepamicin sulfate has been shown to have toxicological properties that are similar to vancomycin hydrochloride and amoxicillin clavulanic acid. The combination therapy group showed an improved cure rate compared to the individual therapy groups.
