Indisetron has been shown to have antiemetic properties in patients undergoing chemotherapy or other emetogenic procedures. This drug also has affinity constants for the neurokinin-1 receptor, which is an important factor in nausea and vomiting. Indisetron binds to this receptor and blocks its binding site, thereby inhibiting the production of serotonin that induces vomiting.
