Beschreibung

4-Iodoanisole is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is used to treat pain and inflammation. It inhibits the production of prostaglandins, which are responsible for causing pain and inflammation. 4-Iodoanisole is also used to treat breast cancer cells resistant to other drugs. This drug binds to the ryanodine receptor, an ion channel found in the sarcoplasmic reticulum of cells. The binding inhibits calcium release from these channels, which can lead to cell death by apoptosis. 4-Iodoanisole has been shown to inhibit the production of picolinic acid in a model system and in biological samples.
