Beschreibung

Isobutyryl chloride is a sodium salt that is soluble in water. It is a reactive compound that can undergo phase transition to form an ester hydrochloride when heated. The pharmacokinetic properties of Isobutyryl chloride are not well studied, but the compound has been shown to be absorbed from the gut and excreted in urine. Isobutyryl chloride has been shown to have antimicrobial activity against a number of infectious diseases including HIV infection and inflammatory bowel disease. This compound also inhibits the replication of herpes simplex virus in cell culture models.
