Beschreibung:
Isoquinolone-8-boronic acid is a boronic acid that has high affinities for dyes with an acidic group. It can be used as a sensor for physiological pH and has shown to have high binding affinity to the fluorescence dye rhodamine B. The compound can act as a competitive inhibitor of the enzyme glucose oxidase, which is responsible for the production of hydrogen peroxide in aerobic organisms. This inhibition can lead to an increase in the concentration of d-glucose.
