4-Isopropyl-4'-methyldiphenyliodonium tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)borate (DMP-BF4) is a diode that can be used in solar cells. It is a reactive molecule that initiates polymerization reactions and also functions as an irradiation source for polymerizing silicones, polyolefins, and oxetane. DMP-BF4 has shown to be an efficient initiator for cationic polymerization of diethylene glycol methyl ether methacrylate (DEGMA).
