Beschreibung

Jodfenphos is a micropollutant that is used as an inhibitor of metalloproteases in wastewater treatment. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of collagenase and gelatinase, which are enzymes that break down collagen and gelatin, respectively. Jodfenphos also inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the signal peptide of the ribosome, preventing translation of mRNA into protein. This agent has been shown to have high resistance in bacteria such as E. coli, Enterococcus faecalis, and Staphylococcus aureus. Jodfenphos has also been shown to be effective against yeast species such as Candida albicans and Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
