L-Lysine L-aspartate is an amino acid that is found in animal and plant sources. It is composed of L-lysine and L-aspartate. It is a dietary supplement that can be taken to help with the treatment of conditions such as phenylketonuria, which is caused by a deficiency of the enzyme phenylalanine hydroxylase, which catalyzes the conversion of phenylalanine to tyrosine. The amino acid composition of L-Lysine L-aspartate can also be used to treat diseases such as lysinuric protein intolerance, which is caused by a mutation in the gene encoding for the enzyme lysinase. This mutation leads to a lack of lysinase activity, which affects protein digestion and absorption. This condition can lead to malnutrition due to malabsorption and poor growth due to inadequate nutrition. Techniques used for making this amino acid include carboxylation and histidine dec
