The thermodynamic and kinetic parameters of methyl 4,5-dimethoxy-3-hydroxybenzoate have been determined using gas chromatography - mass spectrometry (GC–MS) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. It exists as both an enantiomeric mixture and racemic mixture.
