• Beschreibung: 6-Methoxytetralin is a synthetic unsaturated ketone that has been shown to have anti-leukemic activity in murine leukemia. It has also been shown to inhibit the growth of human cancer cells. 6-Methoxytetralin inhibits the acetylation and oxidation of estradiol, leading to the formation of a number of structurally related metabolites. These metabolites are thought to be responsible for its anticancer effects. 6-Methoxytetralin can also be used as an intermediate for the synthesis of tetrafluorobenzyne, which is used in the production of polyurethane and other industrial chemicals.
