Beschreibung:4-Methylphenylacetone is a chemical intermediate that is used in the synthesis of many pharmaceuticals. It is a colorless liquid with a fruity odor. 4-Methylphenylacetone is prepared by the cross-coupling reaction of ethyl acetoacetate and 2,6-dimethylaniline. This chemical can be dehydrogenated to form phenylacetic acid and methyl phenyl ketone. The wild type mice had higher levels of dopamine than the mutant mice. 4-Methylphenylacetone has been shown to have an ability to act as a pharmacological agent in relation to its inhibition of dopamine receptors.
