Beschreibung:
Methyl glycinate is a compound belonging to the group of antimicrobial agents. It is an ester hydrochloride that reacts with methanol to form methyl glycinate methyl ester and HCl. The reaction mechanism of methyl glycinate involves the formation of a pyrazole ring by nucleophilic substitution at the amino group. This process results in the release of nitrogen gas as a by-product, which has been shown to be responsible for its potent antitumor activity. Methyl glycinate also has been found to be effective against diabetic neuropathy, as well as other metabolic disorders, due to its ability to chelate metal ions such as copper and iron.
