Produktinformation
- 5-Methoxy-2-pyrimidinamine
- 2-Pyrimidinamine, 5-methoxy- (9CI)
- 5-Methoxypyrimidin-2-Amine
5-Methoxypyrimidin-2-amine is an analog of pyrimidine. It can be synthesized from imines or mesomeric rearrangements of trimethylated quinazolines. This compound has been shown to rearrange to form a benzene ring with the nitrogen atom at the 5 position and a quinazoline ring at the 2 position. The interplanar spacing for this compound is 3.4 Å, which is greater than that for pyrimidine (3.2 Å). The spectra obtained from 5-methoxypyrimidin-2-amine are typical of a quinazoline derivative and have maxima at 214 nm and 270 nm.
