Beschreibung

4,4'-Methylenebis(2,6-dimethylaniline) is a synthetic chemical compound that is a component of some rubber accelerators and surface coatings. It is used as an activator in the production of chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC). This substance has been shown to be mutagenic in the data base and exhibits quantified molecular descriptors. 4,4'-Methylenebis(2,6-dimethylaniline) is reactive and can cause skin irritation or burns when exposed to it. The substance may also cause dizziness or nausea if inhaled. The substance should not be used at temperatures higher than 200°C because it will decompose into toxic gases such as sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides.
