Produktinformation
- Thieno[3,2-C]Pyridine, 4-Methyl-
4-Methylthieno[3,2-c]pyridine is a low energy electrocyclic molecule. It can be formed by the extrusion of ethylene through an appropriate sequence of activated carbodiimides. This reaction is exergonic and the product is positioned in the class of aromaticity. Computational study of 4-methylthieno[3,2-c]pyridine has been performed to determine its function as a ligand in a variety of metal complexes. The computational study of 4-methylthieno[3,2-c]pyridine has shown that it can act as a ligand in metal complexes and form stable complexes with metals such as iron and cobalt. These complexes are characterized by their ability to bind to oxygen molecules and have been studied for their possible use in industrial processes such as catalytic reactions involving hydrogen peroxide or the oxidation of sulfur dioxide.
