Beschreibung

Meclizine is a drug that is used to treat nausea and vomiting. It is also used as an anti-motion sickness medication, but it does not work well for people who have vertigo or balance disorders. Meclizine has been shown to be effective in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease as well as spastic colon. It works by stabilizing the cell membrane, which inhibits the passage of substances across the membrane and thus reduces inflammation. Meclizine can also be used to prevent or treat cardiac arrhythmias, such as supraventricular tachycardia and atrial fibrillation. Meclizine helps to regulate metabolism by increasing levels of energy production in cells, which improves mental function when taken by geriatric patients with psychosis.
