Beschreibung

Methdilazine hydrochloride is an anti-infective agent that belongs to the group of drugs called as asymmetric synthesis. It is structurally related to mephenytoin and other hydroxylated derivatives of phenytoin. Methdilazine hydrochloride has shown significant activity against a variety of bacteria, including those with resistance to other antibiotics. Methdilazine hydrochloride may be used in the treatment of infectious diseases such as bacterial pneumonia and bronchitis, and respiratory tract infections. Methdilazine hydrochloride affects the function of receptors that are involved in allergic symptoms by altering the permeability of air passages and blood vessels in the lungs and nose. The optimum concentration for this drug is not known, but it has been shown to be effective at concentrations lower than those required for optimal receptor activity.
