Produktinformation
- Benzeneacetic Acid, 4-Methoxy-Alpha-Methyl-
- P-Methoxyphenylpropionic Acid
2-(4-Methoxyphenyl)propanoic acid (2-MPPA) is a natural compound that has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro. It has been found to have apoptotic effects and may be an effective treatment for cancer. 2-MPPA inhibits the growth of prostate cancer cells by binding to the receptor on the cell membrane, which prevents the formation of new blood vessels that are needed for tumor growth. 2-MPPA also binds with annexin, a protein that regulates apoptosis, and inhibits mitochondrial function. It is possible that 2-MPPA may inhibit cyclin D1 synthesis and disrupt cell cycle progression.
