Beschreibung

2-Mercaptobenzothiazolyl-(Z)-(2-aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)isopropoxyiminoacetate is a growth factor that binds to the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), though not as strongly as EGF. It has been shown to stimulate the production of phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate and phosphatidylinositol 3,4-bisphosphate by binding to the enzyme phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate kinase. 2MBTSA inhibits the proliferation of tumor cells in culture and also prevents their migration. The compound was shown to be active against a wide range of cancers including breast cancer, prostate cancer, and lung cancer. Clinical studies have demonstrated that 2MBTSA can reduce pain associated with bone metastases in patients
