Mordant yellow 10 is a reactive pigment that is used to dye wool and other animal fibers. It has been shown to have low reactivity with amines, and can be used as a control agent in biological treatments of wastewater. Mordant yellow 10 has been shown to have a high level of radiation resistance, which makes it ideal for use in the treatment of wastewater contaminated by radioactive materials. Mordant yellow 10 is also used as a colorant in paints, plastics, and paper. It is a polymer film mordant that has an electron-donating effect on the dye molecules. This effect leads to an increase in the rate of polymerization and cross-linking of the dye molecules on the film surface.
