Beschreibung

N-[4-[[6-Methoxy-7-[3-(4-morpholinyl)propoxy]-4-quinazolinyl]amino]phenyl]benzamide is a small molecule that has been shown to be an inhibitor of inflammatory bowel disease. It inhibits the production of proinflammatory cytokines, such as TNFα, IL-1β, and IL-6. The mechanism of action for this drug includes the inhibition of NFκB activation in intestinal epithelial cells, which leads to a decrease in the production of proinflammatory cytokines. This compound has also been shown to inhibit the proliferation of isolated colonic adenocarcinoma cells and has been demonstrated in vivo to reduce colitis induced by dextran sulfate sodium.
