Beschreibung

2-Methylthiophenylboronic acid is a synthetic compound that has been shown to have anticancer properties. It has been used in the synthesis of nanowires and was found to have a pharmacokinetic profile that is similar to that of 2-methylphenol, which is a known anticancer drug. The coagulation profile of 2-methylthiophenylboronic acid has also been studied and found to be an effective inhibitor of hypochlorous acid, which is an oxidant that can cause damage to cells. 2-Methylthiophenylboronic acid has also been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells in vitro by binding to the reactive oxygen species generated by these cells. This compound may be used as a fluorescent probe for electron deficient molecules in analytical chemistry or as a fluorescence probe for cancer tissue in microscopy.
