Beschreibung

Methyl 1-amino-1-cyclopentanecarboxylate hydrochloride is an enzyme inhibitor that prevents the synthesis of angiotensin, glycogen synthase, and other proteins. It binds to the active site of neutral endopeptidases, which are enzymes that break down peptides in the body. Methyl 1-amino-1-cyclopentanecarboxylate hydrochloride also inhibits the activity of proteases, such as angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) and neutral endopeptidase. This drug is used to treat hypertension and congestive heart failure.
