Beschreibung:
N-Methylpyridin-3-amine is an amide that has been shown to be a potent and selective ligand for x-ray crystallography. It has been used as a solid catalyst in the synthesis of other compounds, with optimal reaction conditions of activated hydrogen and nitrous oxide. The chemical structure of N-methylpyridin-3-amine is similar to amines, which are neutral molecules that form hydrogen bonding interactions when they bind to other molecules or molecular fragments. N-Methylpyridin-3-amine also binds with nitrous oxide, forming an unstable compound that decomposes into nitrogen gas and water.
