The solubility of 4-(4-methylphenoxy)benzoic acid is minimal, with only 0.01% present in water at pH 7.5. This low solubility is due to its lipophilic nature, which can be improved by solubilizing it with cyclodextrin or other compounds that are able to form nonpolar associations with hydrophobic molecules like 4-(4-methylphenoxy)benzoic acid.
