Beschreibung

2-Methoxypyridine-3-boronic acid is a boronic acid that is used in the synthesis of organic compounds. 2-Methoxypyridine-3-boronic acid has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of hepatitis C virus (HCV) replication. The molecule binds to the NS5B RNA polymerase and inhibits viral transcription, leading to the inhibition of HCV replication. The binding constant for this compound was determined by measuring its cross-coupling with the HCV NS5B protein and its solubility. It has been shown that 2-methoxypyridine-3-boronic acid can be used as a photophysical probe for hydrogen bonding, halide ions, and dipoles globally.
