Beschreibung:
6-Methyl-3-pyridinecarboxylic acid hydrazide is an antioxidant that contains a hydrazide functional group. It reacts with l-glutamine to form the corresponding N-hydrazone, which undergoes decarboxylation to form 6-methyl-3-pyridinecarboxylic acid. The reaction sequence has been shown to be reversible, and the antioxidant properties of 6-methyl-3-pyridinecarboxylic acid hydrazide have been demonstrated in vitro studies.
