Beschreibung

Maritimein is a natural product that has been shown to have an inhibitory effect against the plant enzyme diphenolase and against the growth of C. tinctoria. Maritimein also has hepatoprotective properties, which are likely due to its ability to inhibit oxidative stress in cells. This product is also able to improve insulin resistance, as well as blood pressure and coreopsis levels in diabetic rats. Maritimein has anticarcinogenic properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of reactive oxygen species and DNA damage in animal models. Maritimein can also induce apoptosis by activating caspase-3 or caspase-9.
