Beschreibung

7-Methoxyflavonol is an inhibitor molecule that belongs to the group of aurones. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo by inducing apoptosis. The inhibition of cervical cancer cells was observed using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). 7-Methoxyflavonol also has anti-oxidant effects, which have been shown using a Langmuir adsorption isotherm. It has been demonstrated that this molecule can be used to reduce the number of molecules of hydrochloric acid and epoxides, which are carcinogenic compounds found in cigarette smoke.
