Beschreibung

3-Methylhexahydrophthalic anhydride is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of benzyl alcohols. It has been shown to be a good solvent for caproic acid, fatty acids and other organic compounds. 3-Methylhexahydrophthalic anhydride can be used in modelling, as it is a non-cyclic molecule with six hydroxyl groups. This compound can also be used in devices such as long-term implants, where it is mixed with diglycidyl ether. The hydroxyl groups on the benzyl ring react with hydrogen ions and cause the release of water molecules.
