Beschreibung

4-Methyl-2-(2-pyridinyl)-1,3-thiazole-5-carboxylic acid is a coordination complex that contains two divalent metal ions. The coordination geometry is octahedral and the compound crystallizes in three different polymorphs: α, β, and γ. It has a layered structure with alternating layers of the carboxylate ligands and the metal ions. 4MTT forms supramolecular complexes with other compounds possessing electron donor groups such as thiols or amines.
