• Beschreibung: Nonafluorobutanesulfonamide (NFBS) is a volatile organic solvent that is used in the manufacture of coatings and other organic chemicals. It has been shown to have a high vapor pressure, which makes it useful for drying solvents. NFBS is also used as an intermediate in the production of fluorinated acrylates and methacrylates. NFBS reacts with styrene monomers to form ionic forms, and can be converted to its neutral form by reaction with acrylonitrile or acrylates. Nonafluorobutanesulfonamide has been shown to cause liver cancer in rats, but this effect has not been observed in humans.
