2-[Methyl[(Nonafluorobutyl)Sulphonyl]Amino]Ethyl Methacrylate is an anionic polymer that is used in the production of non-woven fabrics and other materials. It can be synthesized by reacting methacrylic acid with a tert-butyl 2-(methylsulfonylamino)ethyl chloride. 2-[Methyl[(Nonafluorobutyl)Sulphonyl]Amino]Ethyl Methacrylate has been shown to form micelles in aqueous solution, which are made up of water-soluble polyelectrolyte chains. The size of the micelles depends on the concentration of the compound. This polymer has also been shown to have high viscosity and low solubility at room temperature.
