Beschreibung:Mercuric trifluoroacetate is an organic compound that contains mercury and a carboxylic acid. It is an acid that is formed when mercury reacts with hydrochloric acid. Mercuric trifluoroacetate has been shown to be effective in the synthesis of a number of organic compounds, including the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid. This compound also inhibits the production of prostaglandin E2 in human leukocytes, which may be related to its inhibitory properties on congestive heart failure. Mercuric trifluoroacetate can also cause autoimmune diseases in mice by suppressing the production of interleukin-4 and interleukin-10, which are cytokines involved in immune responses.
