Beschreibung

5-Nitro-2-mercaptobenzimidazole (NMBI) is a molecule that has been studied in vitro for its antifungal activity. It inhibits the growth of fungi by binding to the metal surface and inhibiting the production of molecules necessary for fungal metabolism. 5-Nitro-2-mercaptobenzimidazole also prevents corrosion of metals. This molecule has been shown to react with glyphosate and other organic compounds, forming new chemical structures. NMBI is a molecule that can be used as an antifungal agent or as a corrosion inhibitor, depending on the reaction conditions.
