Beschreibung

Np(trans-4-N-propylcyclohexyl)benzoicacid is a liquid crystal that has been shown to be a low dose, optical and shift anisotropic agent. It has been used to study the orientation of liquid crystals in cell membranes. The compound has also been shown to react with pyridine and form a crystal compound that can be seen under optical microscope. The structure of this compound is still not fully understood because it is difficult to crystallize.
