Beschreibung:
2-Nonanol is a fatty acid that belongs to the group of methyl ketones. It has been shown to have probiotic properties and is used in the production of dry weight, natural compounds, and fatty acids. 2-Nonanol is also able to inhibit bacterial growth by binding to the lipid II moiety of L. acidophilus. This compound has been shown to be effective in the inhibition of Helicobacter pylori in human liver tissue models. 2-Nonanol can be extracted from solid phase microextraction (SPME) using solubility data as a function of temperature, pH, and salinity. The chromatographic science of 2-nonanol includes its hydroxy group and α-pinene.
