Beschreibung

N,N-Dimethyldecylamine N-oxide is a cationic surfactant that has antimicrobial properties. It can be used as an additive to detergents and other cleaning products to protect surfaces from bacterial growth and odor. N,N-Dimethyldecylamine N-oxide is prepared by the reaction of dimethyldecylamine with nitric acid. The molecule contains a terpene moiety and an inorganic acid group.
