• Beschreibung: Nemadipine B is a synthetic drug that has been shown to have an antioxidant effect. It binds to the hydrophobic pocket of the cytochrome P450 enzyme, causing activation of this protein. Nemadipine B also inhibits chloride channels and prevents the formation of acid, which is necessary for the degradation of lipids. This drug has been shown to have a hemolytic activity in vitro and in vivo. The reaction products of nemadipine B consist mainly of phenylacetic acid, acetophenone, and 2-hydroxy-5-(2-methylpropyl)benzaldehyde with small amounts of carbon dioxide and water. Nemadipine B is a blocker for l-type calcium channels that can be used for treatment of cardiac arrhythmia.
