Beschreibung

Nimbin is a chemical pesticide that can be used to kill microbes. It has been shown to be effective against a variety of bacteria, including Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Salmonella typhimurium. Nimbin is soluble in water and is active against fungi such as Aspergillus niger and Penicillium chrysogenum. The fatty acid component of Nimbin has been shown to be toxic to both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Tissue culture studies have shown that Nimbin inhibits the growth of bacteria when it is exposed to light for at least 30 minutes. The transport properties of Nimbin are dependent on the type of carrier gas being used.
